(ECNS) -- China's largest land port Manzhouli handled over 5.48 million metric tons of imports and exports in the first quarter of 2024, data from the Harbin bureau of China Railway Corporation showed on Wednesday.

The figure represents an increase of 754,100 tons and 15.9 percent growth year-on -year, reaching a record high.

The import volume of goods via Manzhouli port increased by 18.1 percent year on year as the trade scale continued to expand. The volume of major commodities involving coal, iron concentrate and containers grew by 49.8 percent、
