The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) commended role model families and groups and individuals for their contributions to family work ahead of the International Day of Families, which fell on May 15.
A total of 997 households were awarded the title of the National "Five Virtues" Civilized Family, 200 groups were named as national outstanding groups in family work, 198 people were named as national outstanding individuals in family work and 997 households were awarded the title of the National Most Beautiful Family.
These commended families have fostered and practiced core socialist values, reflecated their good spirit and the new trend of socialist family civilization, and set examples for the public in having deep love for the country, inheriting good family traditions and advocating new trends of social civilization.
All award-winning groups and individuals have contributed to letting core socialist values take root in every family and promoting the high-quality development of the building of family education and family traditions.
Women's federations and relevant departments at all levels in the country have earnestly implemented the spirit of the important discourses made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the building of family, family education, family traditions, fostered and practiced core socialist values, focused on building role model families, educating children in a scientific way and inheriting good family traditions, as well as strengthened the building of family, family education, and family traditions through organizing the activities of looking for the most beautiful family and the selection of the "five virtues" civilized family.
So far, the ACWF has awarded the National "Five Virtues" Civilized Family title to over 10,000 families. More than 620 million people have taken part in online and offline activities of looking for the most beautiful family. About 5.39 million households nationwide have won the title of most beautiful family at all levels in different categories.
