Mel B has teased a Spice Girls reunion during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Wednesday.

The singer, 48, dropped a big hint that the former girl group will get back together for their 30th anniversary.

During the interview, host Kyle Sandilands, 52, revealed that he will be in the US for the iHeartRadio music festival in September and hoped to catch up with the singer.

Mel coyly teased: 'If I'm not on tour with the Spice Girls of course I will.'

Kyle then proceeded to ask the singer, who has adopted the nickname Scary Spice, whether the reunion rumours were true.

'We will see, I start the rumours because I know it's going to happen,' she claimed.

The last time the Spice Girls reunited was for an iconic performance at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.

In 2019, the band headed out on a UK stadium tour but fashion designer Victoria Beckham, 49, notably chose not to join claiming she was too busy with her clothing brand.

This isn't the first time Mel has reignited hopes of a surprise Spice Girls reunion as she recently sparked rumours on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show in March.

Reports had claimed that all five original members would reunite in 2024 for a headline slot at Worthy Farm.

'You don't know that we're not doing Glastonbury,' Mel proclaimed.

She added: 'We are talking about doing something together - I can't say what it is 'cos I always get into trouble, loose lips sink ships and I'm not about to sink the ship!

'I've had the kibosh put on me this time round but my aim is to get us back in to the studio, that would be nice.'

Meanwhile, Victoria, known as Posh Spice, squashed fans' hopes as she said the only celebration the band was having for their milestone anniversary would be a private meal to 'reminisce.'

During an interview on Radio France, the fashion designer revealed: 'We do have a group chat, I do speak to all the girls.

'It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate - a dinner or a lunch - and reminisce, but yes it will not be any more than that.'

Victoria insisted that her singing days are firmly behind her and that she is now focused solely on her fashion and beauty empire.

'I'm so proud of what I achieved with the Spice Girls that now, for me, it's about empowering people through fashion and beauty,' she said.

'There have been lots of rumours about tours and performances but that will not happen. But I'd love to celebrate with the girls in another way just me and them.'
